Hey… I’m blogging

Never in a million years! That would have been my immediate response if, a month ago, someone had told me that I would be sitting on the couch, with Storm, my bull terrier puppy, next to me, writing a blog about my own personal cancer journey.

Isn’t it amazing how in a single, unexpected moment, your entire can change completely. So, what do you do when life throws something like a life-changing cancer diagnosis at you… well… You Adapt! You Deal with it! You Do whatever it is you have to do! This is my way of doing exactly that… this is my blog.

In the posts that follow, I will tell you my story, I’ll describe this journey as best I can and hopefully you’ll be able to take something out of it, you’ll be inspired to carry on with your own journey, no matter where you’ve been, where you’re going or how far you have to go. This is not only about cancer it’s about life. Everyone is on a journey of some sort.

I’d really like you to take this journey with me… no one wants to walk alone! Please feel free to follow me, leave your comments and share as you like.

See you soon!

    —–

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
    when I was suffering from
    anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
    “You promised me Lord,
    that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
    there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?”

    The Lord replied,
    “The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints,
    is when I carried you.”

    May he carry you always
